In the spring, in order to protect the forest from stem pests, timber is retained in special stacks for insect trapping. Special traps are also hung in order to attract as many pests as possible. The traps are periodically cleared and the timber for insect trapping, together with all the pests, is removed from the forest right away.
A solid infrastructure is created to protect, preserve the forest and to prevent potential natural and human-induced hazards.
Forest protection is an integral part of sustainable forestry. The forest must be respected and protected to the maximum extent in each forest management stage.
